I'm reading this aloud with my eight-year-old after having read Le Petit Nicolas together last year, and it's quite funny seeing the world from Nicolas' perspective again. Older readers will love catching the humor that he doesn't catch. This book organizes the stories into chronological episodes--each chapter picks up where the last left off, so it seems even more cohesive and enjoyable than the original Le Petit Nicolas. I'm going to buy this classic book to add to our Petit Nicolas collection so I can re-read it with my younger children as they grow--it's a wonderful classic--and far better than the film from a recent year.
